GALION - Janet Arlene Schneider, 83, of Galion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Magnolia Terrace.
Janet was born on April 7, 1942, in Crestline to the late Rolland and Gladys C. (Feick) Eusey. Janet married George Schneider on August 19, 2000, and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2004.
Janet dedicated 34 years of her life to working as a kitchen aide at Galion Community Hospital, where her nurturing spirit and kind demeanor made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the many patients she served. Her dedication to her work mirrored her commitment to her family and friends.
She was a devoted member of the former Christ United Methodist Church and took great joy in collecting angels, sharing her love of these delicate treasures with those around her. An enthusiastic foodie, Janet relished every opportunity to go out to eat and explore new dining experiences. Her adventurous spirit also led her to enjoy trips to different places and shopping excursions with family and friends, always seeking the next enjoyable outing.
Janet is survived by her siblings; Dorothy Wiggins, Lowell Eusey and Pauline Kaufold; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Eusey, Carolyn Ball, Ruth Eusey, Phyllis Eusey, Linda Grasley, and her twin sister, Joyce Eusey.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the Gompf Funeral Service - Galion Chapel, 303 Portland Way N., Galion. The service will follow immediately at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
