Jack Alldredge Obituary

Jack Ray Alldredge
Glen Carbon - Jack Ray Alldredge, 93, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. Born June 7, 1932, in East St. Louis, Illinois, he was the beloved son of the late Blanche (Ellis) Alldredge and stepson of Rolla Ellis.
On September 13, 1974, in Granite City, Illinois, he married the love of his life, Darlyne (Stark) Alldredge. Their 50 years of marriage are a testament to their unwavering love and devotion.
Jack honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a dedicated member of St. John United Methodist Church in Edwardsville, Illinois, where he generously volunteered his time, especially in the kitchen. After many years of dedicated service, Jack retired as the Area Superintendent with Ethyl Corporation in Sauget, Illinois. Alongside his wife, he also started Alldredge Designs, a side business specializing in beautifully crafted stained-glass creations. Jack could fix or build anything, but his true passion lay in restoring classic cars and mechanic work. Above all, Jack was a beloved family man who adored his wife and children and cherished his role as Papa. His legacy of honor, dedication, and love will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Alldredge, and his grandson, Shane Heth.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Darlyne (Stark) Alldredge, of Glen Carbon, Illinois; his children, Mark (Natalie) Alldredge, Matthew (Cyndi) Alldredge, Kathy Small, Doug Heth, and Dean Heth; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Jason, Anna, Tracey, Dawn, Jason, Caleb, Justine, Cole, Jason, Lindsay, and Danielle; his 29 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are appreciated to St. John UMC or to the Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences may also be expressed online at www.irwinchapel.com.
