Harold "Mike" Fellows, born September 28, 1929, in Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on September 14, 2025. He was the son of the late Sidney and Barbara (Mertl) Fellows. Mike graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1949 and later joined the United States Navy, where he served during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged in 1952, he began his career with Consumers Power, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 1987.
Mike enjoyed the Michigan outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also found joy in painting, wood carving, and woodworking, building everything from furniture to knickknacks. However, he had a special talent for gardening. He grew a large, beautiful garden and always looked forward to the canning season with Charlotte by his side.
On November 27, 1952, he married Charlotte (Ouellette), and together they raised five children: Jim (Pam) Fellows, Tim Fellows (friend Pam), Jackie Niezurawski, Karen (Bill) Middleton, and Kathy (Jack) Riedel. He was a proud grandfather to 10 beloved grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Fellows; son, Bruce Fellows; siblings: Sidney Fellows Jr., Albert Fellows, and Barbara Llewellyn; son-in-law, Don Niezurawski; and daughter-in-law, Lynda Fellows.
Honoring Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a future date.
