Calvin Kirk Obituary
Calvin Hartsell Kirk age 83 of Horse Creek passed away Monday July 21, 2025 at his home. Jesus Christ was his Savior. He is survived by his children Angie and Keith Fortner, Richard and Sherry Kirk, and Diana and Bobby "James" Parker, grandchildren Megan Thornburg, Danielle Thornburg, Jacob Fortner, Erin and Casey Broyles, Katelin and Tyler Bledsoe, Tiffany Johnson, Kayden Parker, great grandchildren Isaac, Callie, Haven, Piper, Jordan, and James, sister Norma Jean Brown, sister-in-law Judy Thornburg and Juanita Kirk, special neighbors James and Patsy Sexton, several nephews and special friend Pastor Gene Swatzell. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Kirk, parents Luda and Rosa Lee Click Kirk, brother Dahl Kirk. The family would like to thank the staff of Smokey Mountain Hospice including Sonja, Leslie, Karen, and Chaplain Aaron. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Sunday July 27, 2025 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow at 7pm with Chaplain Aaron Auiler officiating. The graveside service will be at 11 am Monday in Graceland Memorial Gardens. It is requested that family and friends meet at the funeral home at 10:15am Monday to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Keith Fortner, Jacob Fortner, James Sexton, Doug Raines, Casey Broyles, and Roger Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Kayden Parker, Bobby Parker, Tyler Bledsoe, and Howard Broyles.
