Charles "Charley" Alexander Pratt, Jr. died in Chula Vista, Calif., on June 16, 2025, with his wife, Dee Irwin Pratt, at his side.
In addition to his spouse, Charley is survived by his daughters, Alicia (Lisa) Pratt Mayer of Ellmendingen, Germany, Evelyn Pratt Carpenter of Fort Collins, Colo.; his sisters, Penny Pratt Barham, (Clay) of Reidsville, N.C., Carol Pratt Dail, (Graham) of Greensboro, N.C.; and brother, Michael Pratt, (Vicky) of Durham, N.C.; and sister-in-law, Susie Pratt. Charley had five grandchildren, Josephine, Franciska, and Rebeca Mayer of Germany, and Carolyn and Jack Carpenter of Colorado.
He was predeceased by brother, Franklin Lock Pratt.
Charley was born on September 26, 1940, in Greensboro to Charles Alexander Pratt, Sr. and Evelyn Kernodle Pratt. He was a graduate of Greensboro High School and Guilford College.
A memorial service was held for Charley on June 20, 2025, in Bonita, Calif. A burial service will be held on July 18, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Kallam Grove Christian Church Cemetery, 1390 Gold Hill Road, Madison, NC.
