James Creber Obituary

James Thatcher Creber
January 13, 1940 - August 23, 2025
Jim led a full life sailing boats, playing guitar, fighting on for USC, watching the stock market and loving his family. He was born in Los Angeles but spent many years on the East Coast working on Wall Street and various firms but ultimately came back to Southern California to be closer to family and the sunshine.
Jim was the youngest of three sons to Lewis Henry Creber and Annie Valentine and predeceased by his brothers Robert and William. He is survived by his three children Camille Christine Beehler (Matthew), John Thatcher Creber (Michaela) and Katharine Creber Helgeson (Spencer). He adored his grandchildren, Chloe, Thatcher and Jimmy Creber, Luke and Leah Beehler and Aidan and Grace Messerschmidt. Additionally, he was so proud to be a father of a grandfather to his two great-grandchildren, Annie and Alice. He will be missed most by his quick wit and deep love of his family and friends.
A private service will be held in Newport Beach.

Jim came into our lives in the 1990's as our Financial Advisor and quickly also became our friend. His quick wit, gentile demeanor and business acumen set the stage for our confidence and comfort. Our prayers are with Jim's family.
Rest in Peace Jim.
