BARBARA JEAN BETTENCOURT

February 26, 1944 – June 3, 2025

Barbara Jean Bettencourt, 81, of Hanford, passed away June 3, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph & Mamie Bettencourt and brother, Richard.

Barbara is survived by her sister-in-law, Jeanne Bettencourt, her nieces and nephew, Lisa (Rick) Volpo; Aaron Bettencourt (Diana); Lori Bettencourt Dodd; great nephews and nieces Zach & Adam Volpo and Aubree, Brielle & Landon Dodd; cousins and friends.

Barbara worked as a local hairdresser for 40+ years, making life-long friendships with her clients. She was an active member of St Brigid Catholic church.

A 10:00 am Rosary and Mass will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Hanford with a private graveside service at Calvary Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Barbara´s passing. She did my hair for several years and was the sister of good friends of mine, Richard and Jeanne Bettencourt. RIP, dear Barbara. So sorry, Jeanne and family for your loss.

Barbara was my Mom´s hairdresser for decades. My Mom loved her and Barbara would come visit her when she got too frail to go see her, Barb would come to visit with my Mother . It meant the world to my Mother, Helen Hornsby.
