Thomas Wierzbicki Obituary

Thomas “Tom” Michael Wierzbicki, 63, passed away on May 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was born November 4, 1961, in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Joseph Edison Wierzbicki and Filomenia Dominique Arcaro Wierzbicki

He graduated from Syracuse High School in 1979, then went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Electrical Engineering. It was there he met his wife Janice Ann Clayton Wierzbicki. They were married May 18, 1985, in Janice’s hometown of Copperas Cove, Texas. Tom’s family still talks about the reception, which was held at the Clayton family ranch and included homemade barbecue and horse drawn buggy rides. Tom has 2 children, Stephanie Ray Wierzbicki and Michael Anthony Wierzbicki. He was also fortunate to have 3 grandchildren, Asher Don Wierzbicki, Eli Clay Gauthier, and Rowan Louise Wierzbicki.

Tom spent most of his career working as an electrical engineer and software programmer for Electrospace and Fijutsu. He not only maintained relationships with his coworkers but made lifelong friends in the process. Tom ended his career as a handyman, which he found to be his most rewarding job when his customers were thrilled with their final remodeling project. After officially retiring, Tom and Janice moved to the Clayton Ranch where they traveled in their RV, learned use of farm equipment for ranch improvement projects, and enjoyed their grandchildren.

Tom tended to have a sense of adventure, perhaps more accurately known as “unchanneled curiosity”. He was known to keep pushing through even when it ended with him being stuck in the mud and having to crawl out or touching an unknown button that set off a panic alarm. His family never knew what lay ahead when hanging with Tom!

Remaining to cherish Tom’s memory are spouse Janice Clayton Wierzbicki; children Stephanie Wierzbicki and husband John Gauthier, and Michael Wierzbicki; grandchildren Asher and Rowan Wierzbicki and Eli Gauthier; siblings Joe Wierzbicki, Tammy and Dean Snyder, and John and Penny Wierzbicki; brother-in-law Ray Clayton; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tom in death are his parents Joe and Phil Wierzbicki, and mother and father-in-law Don and Bobby Clayton.
