James Mills Obituary


JAMES WILLIS MILLS, 70, of Kenova, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. He was born February 14, 1955, in Williamson, W.Va., and attended Camp Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Lavalette, W.Va. His mother Thelma Mills preceded him in death along with two sisters, Thelma Preece, and Peggy Mills, and one nephew Jimmy Dickerson.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sharon Mills; two sons, Elijah Drew Mills of Kenova, and James Ashley (Melissa Ann) Mills of Huntington; and five grandchildren, Jaelan Victoria Mills of Kenova, Nicolas Braden Mills of Wayne, W.Va., Collin Blake Mills of Charleston, S.C., Jared Nathaniel Thomas, and Leila Ann Thomas, both of Ashland, Ky.
Also surviving is his father, Willis Mills; his sister Lora Lea Dickerson; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon, on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Maple Hills Cemetery with Pastor Brian Cardwell officiating.
Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
