Marcia L Swinford, 73, of Springfield, passed away July 14, 2025 in Decatur. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, IL on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Marcia was born March 16, 1952 to Wade (Butch) and Mary Jane Swinford of Havana. She graduated from Havana High School. She was employed for over 33 years at the Secretary of State of Illinois. She loved her family, friends, Christmas, good food and shopping. Surviving are her brothers, Jim of Morton and Troy (Patti) of Decatur; nephews, Brad of Chicago, Mike of Brentwood, TN, Scott of Decatur; nieces, Janie Dellinger of West Columbia, South Carolina, Bridget Widmaier of Polkton, North Carolina, Morgan(Ryan), Anna and Brooke of Chicago, and eight great nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Karna Klein, Sister-in-law Linda Swinford and Brother-in-law John Klein.
