November 17, 1935 - November 17, 2024

BETHANY - Marilyn Y. Boyer, 89, of Bethany, went to be with her Lord at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024, on her 89th birthday, in the Moweaqua Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024, in St. Isidore Catholic Church, Bethany. Prayer service will be at 3:30 p.m., Friday and visitation from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan. Rite of Committal and Burial will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Moweaqua. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Isidore Catholic Church, Penn Township Cemetery, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Project 61 of Sullivan. Online condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net.

Marilyn was born November 17, 1935, in Peoria, the daughter of Cecil and Lola Blanche Walden Wilson. She was homemaker and a farm wife. Marilyn achieved her LPN license and did volunteer private in home health care and had been the owner of Figure 8 in Sullivan. She then bought her parents home in Findlay that she grew up in and started Granny's Kitchen Treasures where she made gourmet cinnamon rolls. Marilyn was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and was involved with several singing groups. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her adorable grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Bob Boyer on December 17, 1955, in Dalton City.

Surviving are her husband, Bob, of Bethany; son, Ben (Betty) Boyer, of Bethany; daughter, Sally (Royce) Binion, of Wolcottville, Ind.; son, David (Julie) Boyer, of Bethany; sisters, Rosie Mickish, of Richardson, Texas, and Sharon (Loren) Roberts, of Mt. Zion; brother, Jim (Beverly) Wilson, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Heide, Jake, GK, Cher, Jase, Alex, Jordan, Joey, Jaymee, Ryan, Rayce, Emily, Brittin, Orry, Kailyn, Addison, Blake, Jana, Shannon, Kristin, Alexa, Matt, Jack, Miles, Morgan and Ian and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ted; and brother-in-law, Bob.
