The Grandchildren especially loved coming to the beach where they spent time beachcombing, crabbing, fishing with Grandpa, and beach bon fires. The 4th of July was always a favorite for setting off their own fireworks.
Don and Jeanette enjoyed travel to many parts of the world, including Europe, Japan, the UK, Caribbean, South America, Alaska, Hawaii, and all through the United States. After their first Alaskan cruise, they determined cruising to be their favorite mode of travel.
After retirement, Don and Jeanette had a home built in Surprise, AZ and lived there six months out of the year while enjoying many of the activities provided by resort community living. While not in AZ, they built another home in Monroe, WA where they resided for 20 years.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, dancing, and playing all kinds of card games. She enjoyed all genres of music but was partial to country. A lover of life!
