Terry DeBlieck Obituary

Terry DeBlieck, 44, of Indianola, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 at the American Legion Post #165, 105 West 1st Ave., Indianola, IA 50125. Private inurnment with military honors will be held in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, Iowa.
Terry was born August 20, 1980, in Palm Springs, California. He grew up in Joshua Tree, California, where he lived until enlisting in the United States Army on August 12, 1998.
During his time in the Army, he was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar. After his honorable discharge, he relocated to Indianola, Iowa, to be closer to his family.
Terry is survived by his mother, Catherine DeBlieck; his siblings Jesse (Traci) McAninch, Brett DeBlieck, Scott DeBlieck, Grace Poland and Benjamin Poland; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by father August DeBlieck; grandparents August and Carol DeBlieck and Barbara Thrasher; uncles David DeBlieck and Gerald Thrasher; and his beloved baby brother, Zeus.
Memorial gifts may be made to Catherine DeBlieck in Terry's memory.
