Eddie Frazier Obituary

Eddie Lee Frazier, "Tiger," passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Warrenton, VA. He was born October 2, 1955, in Front Royal, VA, and raised in Sperryville by his late father and mother, Wade and Irene Frazier. He is also joined in death by his sister, Elizabeth Mae Frazier Smoot.

His memory will forever be remembered by his remaining family, his son, Chad and wife, Kendra along with their children, Clayton and Kailyn; his brother, Wade and wife, Rosie Frazier; his sister, Jean Frazier Cornwell; his aunt, Nellie Alther and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Eddie Frazier, known by all his family and friends as "Tiger," was often asked how he got his beloved nickname. He was rarely ever called Eddie, and most people even thought that "Tiger" was his real name. When asked, he would joke, and a little mischievous twinkle could be seen in his eyes as he told the tale. "My grandmother would get me and my older brother, Son, out in the yard fightin' and she would call me Tiger."

He lived up to the nickname, and everywhere he went as a child and as an adult, "Hey, Tiger" could be heard in greeting. He had the spirit of a tiger, born to fight and pick on his loved ones. If he didn't pick on you, he didn't like you, he would always say.

Life was full of curveballs for Tiger. He retired early from Pullen's Electric due to his deteriorating health and moved in with his son, Chad, and his family in Rixeyville. His last few years were filled with laughter and jokes with his family. There was always a competition on who his "favorite" was in the house. He was able to enjoy lazy summer days on their front porch or in "his" spot in the living room, binge watching his favorite TV shows that were often black and white westerns. He was entertained daily by his spirited grandchildren, Clayton and Kailyn, and a smile always graced his face.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Amissville Full Gospel Church, 675 Viewtown Rd, Amissville, VA. Service will start at 2:00 p.m. followed by fellowship and refreshments. All are welcome and encouraged to come and share their favorite memories of their beloved, Tiger.

So sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I have known Eddie, or Tiger as I knew him then, since I was 13 years old and he was 18 and he was an incredibly positive - and patient!!! - mentor to me as I grew up. He taught me lessons about human kindness and decency that I have used all my adult life. The man ALWAYS had a smile and epitomized humility, and also epitomized the image of someone who had goals in life and wasn't afraid to work hard to get them despite less than advantageous circumstances. If there were a picture in the dictionary to explain "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps" then Tiger's picture would be there, as a deserved honor. I am truly sorry I could not make the service and sending all my love to Chad and his family. Jimmy Swindler
