May 2, 1927 - July 17, 2025

MATTOON - Doris M. Shook, 98, of Mattoon, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 in the Odd Fellows Rebekah Home, Mattoon.

Celebration of Life memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan. Burial will be in the Ash Grove Cemetery, south of Windsor. Visitation will be from 4 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made to the family at reedfuneralhome.net.

Mrs. Shook was born on May 2, 1927 in Neoga, Illinois, the daughter of Ivan and Fern Pepperdine Senteney. She married Robert Shook on May 1, 1949 in Henderson, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1998.

Survivors include her daughter, Katherine (Jeff) Weaver of Landisville, Pennsylvania and Doug (Angie) Shook of Sullivan; sister, Carol Browning of Mattoon; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael Lee Shook, three brothers and three sisters.
