Beverly Egemo Obituary

Beverly Egemo, 82, died peacefully on July 7, 2025 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Beverly J. Mitchell was born on a snowy June 8, 1943 in Belle Fourche the second child to Tom and Dorothy (Snoozy) Mitchell. From that day she and her sister have been lifelong friends. Years later she became a big sister, not once but twice. She lived in Belle Fourche until graduating high school, afterwards moving to Rapid City to room with her sister and friends while working at Ellsworth AFB. She met her husband Mark Egemo through her sister. They were united in marriage in 1962. In 1964 their family, now of 3, moved to Anchorage, AK to help rebuild the city after an earthquake. Two more children were added to the Egemo family before moving to Hawaii, where she found her passion for art. They decided to move back to Belle Fourche to raise their kids, then Washington State and eventually settled back in her hometown of Belle Fourche, following the passing of her husband in 2003. Beverly felt her most important job was being a mother and homemaker. Those left missing her include her children, Embers and Dan Routier, Greg and Julie Egemo and Marki and Bob Roush; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandkids; her siblings, Patti Siekawitch, Ken Mitchell and Cal Mitchell; numerous nieces, nephews and countless cousins. A Visitation was held Sunday, July 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Kline Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche. A private Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 14, 2025.
