Janie Holbrook Obituary
June 23, 1951 - July 4, 2025
Morehead, Kentucky - Janie Allen Holbrook, lovingly known as Grammy and Mammy, and beloved wife of Eddie Holbrook, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at UK St. Claire in Morehead, KY, at the age of 74. Born June 23, 1951, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Merl Fair Allen and John "Sonny" Allen. A lifelong resident of Rowan County, Janie was devoted to her family, faith, and community.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, with visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Janie Holbrook Memorial Fund at the Bluegrass Community Fund to benefit the Morehead/Rowan County community. Contributions can be sent to 499 East High Street, Lexington, KY 40507 or by calling 859-225-3343. www.northcuttandson.com.
