Eyvond Shroads Obituary

GARRETT -Eyvond Shroads, age 86, of Garrett, Indiana, and previously of Wawaka, Indiana, died on Thursday, May 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Eyvond was born on July 21, 1938, in Edmondson County, Kentucky, to Phlemon and Blanche (White) Whobrey.

She was a buyer/purchasing agent at Stanadyne in Garrett, Indiana, for five years.

She had attended Wawaka Methodist Church.

She is survived by hers sons, Jerry (Michelle) Shroads, of Garrett, Indiana, and Ronald (Linda) Shroads, of Waterloo, Indiana; daughters, Sandra Shroads (John) Michels, of Garrett, Indiana, and Valerie (Steve Souder) Shroads, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; special niece, Sharon Stinson, of Macon, Georgia; and special friend, Helen Holbrook, of Kendallville, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phlemon and Blanche Whobrey; brother, Philip Whobrey; and sisters, Ercie Clayborn and Joan Stumler.

Visitation will take place from 2-5 p.m., on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, Indiana.

Private services will take place and burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Memorials may be made to Wawaka Methodist Church.
