Richard Hixson Obituary

Richard Hixson 74, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 in St. Joseph. He was born June 25, 1950 in Topeka, KS, son of the late Gladys and Harold Hixson. He graduated from Fulton School for the Deaf. He went on to work at American Electric, and retired from CD Smith as a packager. He enjoyed watching football, he was a big Chiefs fan! Richard also liked baking, playing cards, and was in a bowling league for many years. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Jane Hixson, and his five siblings. Survivors include: daughters, Jane (Chris) Nelson of Kansas City, MO, and Maureen White of St. Joseph, MO, granddaughter, Caitlin Cross, grandson, Tyler White, and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. Hixson has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. There are no scheduled services at this time.
