Virginia Hootman Obituary

BLAIRSTOWN: Virginia "Jenny" R. (Mulholland) Hootman, 71, of Blairstown, Iowa passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 26, 2025 surrounded by family. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time also at the funeral home. Reception will be held following the service at the Blairstown Community Center (305 Locust St NE). Jenny was born on October 31, 1953 in Lansing, Iowa, to Phillip and Dorothy (Sickles) Mulholland. Jenny enjoyed crafting, embroidery, garage sales, fishing, cooking, playing cards, hanging out with family, and most importantly caring for her granddaughter. She is survived by granddaughter Bobbi Vick of Blairstown; brothers, Ronnie Mulholland, Mike Mulholland, Kevin (Joel) Mulholland, David Mulholland, and Fred (Linda) Mulholland, she was also raised with Shirley Olsen, Florence Brown, and Donnie Sickles. She is also survived by her beloved dog Sadie and many nieces and nephews. Jenny is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Hootman, daughter, Tina Hootman brothers; Thomas Mulholland, Dwayne Mullholland, and Jerry Mullholland, sister, Phyllis Gordon, and her sister-in-law Rita Mulholland.
