Yvonne Gadouas Obituary

Yvonne Elizabeth Gadouas

February 3, 1946 - May 29, 2025

Yvonne Elizabeth Gadouas, 79, was called home on May 29, 2025.

Yvonne's story began on February 3, 1946, when she was born to Ruth and Jalmar Holman. She completed their family, and no brother has ever been more loved than her big brother, Dennis. Yvonne cherished sharing stories of their adventures together from their childhood antics and high school memories to their travels as adults. Driving to California, a meaningful trip to see the Ark in Kentucky, standing in the Gulf of Mexico and a family trip to Maine were among her favorite experiences.

Yvonne had a deep love for all of God's creatures, and it was through that passion that she met her husband, Thomas Gadouas, while working at a stable. Yvonne and Tom married on January 21, 1966, and shared 48 years of marriage until Tom's passing in 2013. Yvonne believed in making a difference whenever she could, including saving giant mama spiders carrying hundreds of baby spiders on their back.

Yvonne was a proud and loving mother to two daughters, Tamara Gadouas and Tristene (Reuben) Mikel; devoted grandmother to five granddaughters: Georgie (Jared) Linhart, Tiana (Noah) Waite, Samantha Gensch (Gabe Lamon), Tarilyn (Austin) Falter, and Tayla Mikel (Ken Knudtson); and doting great-grandmother to Tucker Waite, Piper Falter, and Tanner Waite. She was looking forward to her fourth great-grandchild, Trudy Jvonne Knudtson who will be joining the family in August.

Yvonne's favorite past time was time spent as a family, from birthdays, graduations, bbq's, family game nights, and hosting every holiday she never missed a beat. She always said a kitchen filled with laughter was her favorite sound.

Yvonne's legacy is rooted in her unwavering faith in Jesus, her love of gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking and her gracious hosting of every holiday. She was known for her steadfast love of family, her deep and loyal friendships, and of course, her famous homemade fudge. Her warmth, kindness, and strength made the world a little better, and she will be deeply missed.

Yvonne is survived by her beloved brother Dennis, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends; particularly Sharon Botelho, whom she thought of as a sister.

A private service honoring Yvonne will be held at a later date.
