Barbara "Barb" June Kirschner age 82, of Chetek, Wisconsin passed away August 1, 2025 at Monroe Manor in Barron, Wisconsin.

Barb was born on November 11, 1942, in Whitewater, Wisconsin to George and Marian (August) Morse.

Barb was graduated from Mauston High School in 1961. She moved to Eau Claire to attend nursing classes at UWEC. She married Larry Schaefer in the early 60s and raised their two children, Anthony and Mark. She was employed at several companies in the Eau Claire area during the 60s and 70s. In the late 70s she became a Real Estate Agent for Midwest Realty, Osseo, WI, she was later employed by Cray Computer, Chippewa Falls

On September 18, 1982 she was united in Marriage to James "Jim" Kirschner. In 1989 Barb & Jim moved to San Diego, CA and lived there for 21 years. Barb began a second career in purchasing for several companies in San Diego, the last 5 years as Procurement Manager for a large medical equipment company in Carlsbad, CA. They lived for a year in Austin, TX & 18 months in Goodyear, Az. In 2014, they retired to Prairie Lake, Chetek, WI & enjoyed living on the water.

Barb is survived by her loving husband, Jim Kirschner; 2, sons, Anthony Schaefer & Mark Schaefer; 3 stepchildren, Anthony Kirschner, Melissa Kirschner-Scarseth and Kelly Kirschner Sherman & her brother & sister-in-law, Gary and Lynn Morse. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Marian Morse, brother Larry Morse & sister Pat Anderson all of Mauston, WI.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
