Marsha Clark Obituary

Marsha Louise Clark

Claremont, NH - Marsha Louise Clark, 75, of Keene, NH, passed away at the Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH on August 23, 2025, after a period of declining health.

Born in Peterborough, NH, on September 23, 1949, she was the second daughter welcomed by Rita (Christian) and Richard Loranger. Raised in Jaffrey, NH, she graduated from Conant High School in 1968.

She met her first husband, Robert F. Smith of Abington, MA, shortly after her graduation. They married and welcomed a daughter, Kimberly Anne, in August 1970. After their divorce in 1978, Marsha and Kimberly relocated to Keene where they stayed for a period with her cousin Marie Robinson, and her children Heidi (Nason) Cleverly and Ron Nason Jr. This time is affectionately remembered as their "Ramada-daddering" period.

Marsha enjoyed several careers throughout her years in Keene. Most notably, her tenures at Wetterau Food Group, Granite Bank, and Home Healthcare, Hospice, and Community Services resulted in her meeting many beautiful people with whom she would treasure lifelong friendships.

It was during her time at Wetterau she met the love of her life, Mark E. Clark. On August 5, 1984, they married in the living room of good friends Paula and Herb Miller. Together, along with Kimberly and Mark's daughters Michelle and Heather, they enjoyed many happy years full of love and family. They loved to vacation with their cherished friends from Keene Elks Lodge 927, which she proudly joined in 2022. They shared many laughs, meals, and beers on white, sandy beaches in the U.S. and abroad. Undoubtedly, these trips were sure to include many "Marsha ism's" (if you know, you know). Their time was tragically cut short when Mark was killed in a car accident in 2002.

After her husband's death, she moved to the Wright Estates in Keene. Here, a community of neighbors became friends, and cared and watched over her until her last days. Other than any day at the beach, a trip to a casino with her good friend Laura Merrifield, or times spent with "the girls" from her early Jaffrey years (that she maintained decades-long friendships with), there was nothing that she treasured more than time with her family. Truly sentimental, she kept every card, letter, and keepsake she was given. Christmases were her favorite.

Marsha is survived by her daughter Kimberly and husband Bill O'Brien of North Swanzey, NH, stepdaughter Michelle Clark of Londonderry, NH, stepdaughter Heather (Clark) Davis and husband Steve of Saugus, MA, granddaughter Erin (O'Brien) Patnode and her husband Keith of Surry, NH, granddaughter Brooke O'Brien and partner Austin Fusco of Winchester, NH, grandson William O'Brien III of North Swanzey, NH, step grandchildren Marcus and Miles Davis of Saugus, MA, and great grandson Briggs Patnode of Surry, NH. Along with her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sister Nancy (Loranger) Boudrieau, but is survived by her brother-in-law Bob Boudrieau, nephew Mark Boudrieau, and niece Lisa Boudrieau.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 17th at 11:00 am on the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene.
