Albert Trevino Obituary

Mr. Albert Lee "Big Al" Trevino, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in Carson City, Nevada. Born on January 10, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, Albert lived a life marked by dedication to family, hard work, and unwavering faith.

After graduating from high school, Albert proudly served his country by joining the United States Navy. He worked in the boiler room aboard naval ships during his tour of duty-a testament to his strength and resilience. Following his military service, he embarked on a long and industrious career that reflected his steadfast work ethic.

Albert began working for AC Transit in Emeryville, California, where he served as a maintenance worker. It was there that he met and built a life with his beloved wife of 53 years, Lorencita Erlene (Gonzales) Trevino. After both retired from AC Transit, they relocated to Carson City, Nevada. Never one to remain idle for long, Albert continued his career at Carson Tahoe Hospital as a maintenance worker. He dedicated over twenty years of service there before retiring once more.

Albert was deeply spiritual and held a strong belief in God throughout his life. His faith was evident in the way he treated others-with kindness, compassion, and an open heart. He was a devoted husband who cherished his wife until her passing and beyond. His love for her remained constant and enduring.

Family was at the center of everything Albert did. He was a loving father to his daughter Elizabeth (Nancy) Trevino Camarillo.

and stepfather to Alexander Lee (Alex) Lopez; Sylvia (D D) Lopez; Casilda (Nina) Lopez; Josie Lopez Deporto; and the late Eliseo Lopez and Stephanie Lopez. To all of them-and especially to their children-he was never "step." He was simply Dad or Grandpa.

He took immense pride in being a grandfather to his granddaughter and grandson; step-grandsons Franklin Trevino; Cesar Angelo Baure; Sabino Garcia; Manuel Medrano; Albert Deporto; Jesse Deporto; and the late Manuel Medrano Jr. (Little Victor), Ruben Alexander Medrano, and Andracito (Cito) Garcia. His step-granddaughters include Daisy Baure; Lorencita Angelina Lopez Stephenson; Josie (Little Josie) Lopez Deporto; Julia Lopez Rios; and the late Desiree Rose Lopez.

Albert had 17 Great Grand Children and 12 Great great GrandChildren.

Albert's home-shared with Grandma-was always filled with warmth and laughter. He loved spending time surrounded by all of his kids and grandkids under one roof. Whether it was sharing stories or simply enjoying each other's company, those moments were among his most treasured.

In addition to being a devoted family man, Albert enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved going to casinos to play KENO-a favorite pastime that brought him joy and excitement. A fan of sports and documentaries alike, he also had an interest in public affairs that kept him engaged with the world around him.

To those who knew him best, Albert was more than just a husband or father-he was a friend whose presence brought comfort and strength. His legacy is one of love without condition or title: he embraced every child as his own and every grandchild as part of his heart.

Albert Lee "Big Al" Trevino will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the guidance he offered so patiently, and the joy he brought into every room he entered.
