Anthony Hutchison Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 13, 2025.
Anthony Paul Hutchison Jr., 54, passed away on February 2, 2025, in Edison, New Jersey.

Born on January 1, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anthony pursued his passion for technology and education by earning a BA in computer science from Franklin & Marshall College and a BS in computer engineering from Penn State. He built a successful career in computer engineering before making a significant career shift to become a Regional Vice President with Primerica.

Anthony was deeply devoted to his family, his pets, and his community. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; his son, Connor; his parents, Tony and Lyn Hutchison; his sister, Bonnie Lamonte; and his brother, Paul Hutchison.

A man of many interests and boundless enthusiasm, Anthony found joy in playing Dungeons & Dragons, especially with his son. He was an avid computer gamer and had a deep love for astronomy. His passion for cooking and hosting large gatherings made his home a welcoming place for friends and family alike. He was also an active member of Sparta United Methodist Church in Sparta, New Jersey, where he dedicated time to volunteering and supporting the community.

Anthony's sense of humor and kindness left a lasting impact on those who knew him. He embraced life as an adventure-whether through travel, indulging in ice cream, or simply finding ways to bring joy to everyday moments. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he made the world brighter with his generosity and warmth.

A memorial service will be held on February 15, 2025, at Sparta United Methodist Church, located at 71 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871. The service will take place from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. In honor of Anthony's vibrant spirit, attendees are encouraged to wear any colors they choose-he would not have wanted the occasion to be somber or dark.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthony's honor to the National Brain Tumor Society-a cause close to his heart-as he wished to help find a cure for the disease that took him from us.

Anthony's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May we continue to celebrate his life by embracing adventure and kindness every day.
