Dale Bettinger Obituary
Dale graduated from Evergreen High School and started working for B & B Concrete then went on to join Lucas County Engineers road division and retired after 30 yrs.
He married the late Ruie E Owens on February 7th 1983 and they celebrated 33 wonderful years.
Dale is survived by his stepchildren Carter (Babette) Owens of Lafayette LA, Mary (Jim) Saxer of Swanton and Christine (Ken ) Wrobel of Flat Rock MI, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Dale is survived by siblings Gary (Darlene), Dennis (Lori) Terry (Kathy) Bettinger, Elizabeth (Hugh) Haitt and June (Steve) Stienmetz.
He is also survived by sister in laws Pamela and Sherri Bettinger
Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers George Jr., Keith, Greg, Peter, his wife and stepdaughter Elizabeth Bidwell.
Dale and Ruie enjoyed raising beagles and competing in field trials. They sired 2 grand champions and belonged to the Defiance Beagle Club and were known as the Swamp Town Beagles.
Dale had many friends and made a lasing impact on so many people and he never met anyone that he did not like.
A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 20th, 2025 at the American Legion Post 479 200 S Hallett Ave Swanton OH from 12-4

Condolences to Dales family. He was a sweet man who loves life. Always a smile in his face. He will be missed at the Swanton American Legion and other establishments he frequented. RIP.

Dale and Rui were such a lovely couple. Yes, he had someone waiting for him. I'm feel so sound that his happier he has been in a long time. Remember "It's not Good Bye, but Be Good so we can see each other again". Words right from the man himself.
