Dashawn Belton Sr. "Kane" Obituary

Dashawn "Kane" Marquis Belton Sr. was born on August 2nd,1980. He attended Steuben Elementary school where he was able to go to his first bozo show. It was the happiest day of his life. He also attended Bailey Middle School and Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana. He received his GED from Job Corp. in Edinburgh, Indiana. He was baptized at the age of 3 by reverend Milton Bruson in Chicago, Illinois at first Christ Tabernacle. Kane has worked several jobs and he mastered every job he worked at. Over the last 10 years he worked for Premier in University Park, Illinois. On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2025 our beloved Kane transitioned peacefully surrounded by loving family members and close friends at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. He was preceded in death by: his brother Joseph Belton, his grandparents on his mother and father side Mable and Robert Belton and Joe Willie Baines Sr. and Doris Baines and mother in law Diane Burnett-McLin. Kane is survived by his wife, Kendra; Mother, Lanetta; Father, Joseph Baines (Minnie Baines); his 3 kids, Dacquaneisha, Dashawn Jr, Dashionna; 2 beautiful grandchildren, Dashawn III and Aalexis;his siblings Annetta, Curtis, Doris, Jayvon, Jerome, James and Tamika; his 2 nieces Dio'yanay and Caleiya; 3 nephews Alexander, Kameron and Kayleb; 3 best-friends, Bird,Kevin,Chief and he leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.
