David Morse Obituary

Beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend David Morse of Kaycee, Wyoming passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 28, 2025 in Gillette, Wyoming. Dave was born October 25, 1955. A true cowboy at heart, David found solace in the quiet strength of the mountains and the open embrace of the wilderness. His greatest joy in his life was his family, especially his son Kaleob, and his cherished granddaughters, Willa and Brinley. Whether spinning one of his legendary stories or lending a hand to a neighbor in need, David lived with authenticity, generosity, and deep affection for those around him. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sue Morse, and his parents, Harry O. Morse and Alma Marie Morse. He is survived by his devoted son, Kaleob Morse, his granddaughters, Willa and Brinley, and his siblings, Denise Nannemann, Danny Morse, and Diane Morse. He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and the friends whose lives he touched over the years. David's storytelling, kind spirit, and cowboy wisdom will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him. A graveside service will be held with family and friends at a later time.
