Dawn Hearn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 29, 2024.
Dawn Johnson Hearn UPPER Dawn Johnson Hearn was born to Harold Iver Johnson and Kathryn Jeanne (Hayes) Johnson on December 12, 1949 in Hampton, Virginia. Dawn went to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She graduated from Clear Creek High in 1967 and attended Sam Houston for 1 year.

Dawn married Jim Hearn in Texas City on August 2, 1969. They were married for 53 years prior to his passing on January 9, 2023 and they are reunited once again. She had lived in Texas City most of her life until the last couple of years in Bremond. Dawn had always been a homemaker and had a strong faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.

Dawn's greatest desire was to be a mother, and she was a wonderful mom to her son and daughter. She was a generous, kind-hearted soul who suffered far too long with many health limitations. In her later years she loved bird watching, TV game shows, Fox News, and the Victory Channel. In the final weeks of her life, a very special bond was established with Kagen Correa, who dedicated many hours to Dawn's comfort.

Dawn is preceded in death by her Parents, Harold and Jeanne Johnson, husband, Jim Hearn son, William Hearn, and Sister Lynellen Kessinger.

She is survived by: Daughter, Heather Hearn Correa and husband Eric of Bremond; Brother, Mark Johnson and wife Donna of League City; Brother-in-law, Mark Kessinger, nieces Asia Kessinger and Cary Lawrence of Colorado; Sister and Brother-in-law, Linda Hearn Vickers and husband Andrew, nephew Richard and niece Erin Vickers of Fort Worth; Grandson, Jackson McKee
