Donna Don-Harrington Obituary

Donna Lynn Don-Harrington (née Reeves), born on March 27, 1951, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, in Punta Gorda, Florida. She was 74 years old.

Donna was a dedicated and accomplished professional who spent over five decades as the owner and operator of Donna Don's Hair Salon in Columbus, New Jersey. For 52 years, she welcomed clients with warmth and care, building lasting relationships and becoming a cherished part of her community. Her salon was more than a place of business-it was a space where people felt seen, heard, and uplifted.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael Harrington; her mother, Marion Reeves; her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Robert Davidson; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth B. Don Jr. and Amanda Don; and her stepdaughter, Dr. Heidi Harrington. Donna also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren-Averie, Aiden, Asher, Sura, and Andrik-who brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her brother Duke Walder and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, who will miss her dearly.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Robert R. Reeves; and two brothers, Robert R. Reeves Jr. and Charles J. Reeves.

Outside of her professional life, Donna found joy in painting and drawing-creative outlets that reflected her vibrant spirit. She nurtured beauty not only through art but also in nature through gardening and caring for her beloved hummingbirds. She cherished quiet moments watching sunsets and embraced the adventure of traveling to new places. Donna's most favorite place on earth was Long Beach Island where she spent many years soaking in the warmth of the sun, smelling the salt air, taking walks on the beach and admiring the beautiful sunrises over the ocean and the sunsets over the bay.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Visitation hours will be held on September 20, 2025, from 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church 24573 E. Main St. Columbus, New Jersey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held immediately following on September 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church 24573 E. Main St. Columbus, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 24573 E. Main St. Columbus, New Jersey 08022, in memory of Donna Don-Harrington.
