Elsa Frohman Obituary

St Clair Shores - Elsa Jeanette Frohman, 73, of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away on June 1, 2025 after a short illness. Elsa was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 22, 1951. She was a cherished member of our family and a beloved friend to many. She was known for her love of animals, particularly her dogs Flynn and Monique, as well as her kindness, compassion, intellect and straight forward manner.

Elsa served as a photographer in the US Navy and afterwards earned a BA in journalism from Wayne State University. She worked as a copy editor for the Macomb Daily for 25 years. She loved all creative things including writing and publishing three novels, illustrating for science fiction magazines, designing her own clothes, and cooking gourmet meals for her family and friends. She loved to spend time reading and traveling.

Elsa is survived by her brothers, Thomas Frohman and Charles Frohman (Nancy), her nephew David Frohman, and her friend Judi Grant. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Frohman and by her sister Mary Frohman.

There will be a memorial service on June 18, 2025, at 1:00pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, in Gross Pointe Woods, Michigan.
