Evalyn Wais Obituary
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Willow Oak Fire District Park, 17535 County Road 97, Woodland CA on Saturday, September 27 at 1:00 pm. All friends and family are welcome to join in remembering Evalyn and her love of life.
Evalyn graduated from St. Mary's College in 1956. Soon after she married Charles Wais and they started their family in Woodland, California. While growing her family she became an RN at Woodland Memorial Hospital where she worked for over 35 years. Evalyn spent her retired years traveling far and wide and enjoying the thrills life had to offer. She spent her final days at the Wais family "Hill" ranch with her partner Bob and her loving children and grandchildren. She lived her life to the fullest and she will be remembered dearly.
She leaves behind partner, Bob Stewart; Sons, Eugene Wais, Michael Wais, Mark Wais and Brian Wais; her 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Alice; Husband, Charles and Son, Eric.
The Wais family would like to express their deep appreciation to our friends who have supported us during this difficult time. A Memorial Gathering will be held on August 27, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Willow Oak Fire District Park 17535 County Rd 97. This will be hosted outdoors with light food and drinks

I'm very sorry to learn of her passing. Our families grew up together, living in the country. I remember Mrs. Wais and my Mom always laughing on long phone calls or in-person. The photo of Evalyn in the striped sweater is exactly how I remember her. Deepest sympthy to Gene, Mike, Mark, and Brian, and your families.

My grandma was an amazingly strong and stubborn woman and I'm proud to say that she passed those traits on to all of her children and grandchildren. I will cherish all the memories and lessons she left behind. So many stories to reminisce about and keep us all smiling despite her departure.
