Frank Austino Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 21, 2025.
Atlantis - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank Anthony Austino, born on May 1, 1933 and passed away on July 16, 2025, after a brief illness.

Frank married his first love, Esther, on April 15, 1955, and from their 45-year union they had three children: Robert (Sharon), Sherry, and Thomas (Audrey). Two grandchildren: Deanna & Julianne, and three great grandchildren: Lyla, Annalise & Eden. He also had several step grandchildren: Jonathan, Jeremy, Casey, Kira, Salvatore & Camille, and ten step great grandchildren from his daughter in laws, Audrey & Sharon.

Frank served in the Army first then four years in the Air Force where he achieved the rank of SSG. After his service, Frank & Esther created Austino's Carpet Service, where Frank did the carpets and Esther did the drapery.

In 1974, Frank created SRW Lifttrucks, which later became Austino's Lifttrucks and then Austino's Equipment Co.

Frank served in the North Vineland Fire Co as Chief and Asst Chief for over 25 years.

After the death of his first wife Esther on September 16, 2000, he always said he was blessed with a second love, Janet, whom he married on August 2, 2003.

Frank loved the game of golf and wanted to be a professional golfer. He loved reading, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He lived his retirement in Atlantis Florida, his golf paradise.

Frank wished to be cremated and to be buried with honors at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.

A service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Bobby, I just heard about your dad and wanted to let you and the family know how sorry we are. Your dad was my uncle just like you were my brother when we were growing up on Arbor Ave. I have so many memories of your dad and us over the years and right now I´m sitting in his house on NW blvd where he was born reliving many of them and can actually feel his presence. Once again I´m really sorry for your loss. Stay strong.

I met Frank two years ago playing 9 hole golf on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Frank not only was a great golfer but also a very patient and supporter of my golf that needed much improvement.
I am shocked and in disbelieve losing a wonderful friend and golf club member. It was a great honor for me of having met Frank and I will miss him dearly. Willi Schmelzer

Thinking of you as you are on a new journey to heaven and by now you probably have been with my sister Esther( kiss her for me) and your parents and brother. We shared many memories together both good and not so good but memories live on. Praying for you and for those you left behind.
