Frank Frankel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 11, 2025.
Frank Frankel of North Caldwell, New Jersey and Palm Beach, Florida, passed peacefully at his home September 9, 2025 at age 59. Frank is survived by his parents, Ed and Leah, brother Keith, and his wife, Tammy. Frank will be missed by his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, a wealth of friends and his own family of dogs.

Frank was a beloved son, brother and dedicated friend to those lucky enough to know him. Frank was a 'one of a kind', larger than life personality who brought laughter, fun and a sense of beauty to everything he touched. His passion was house renovation projects and he was masterful in bringing back to life historical places that no one could imagine were salvageable. He had a unique ability to see beauty in everything.

Frank addressed all aspects of his life in the same way. His eye for detail guided him in his love of design, gardening, and cooking. Frank beautified the space wherever he went.

Frank loved his times together with family and friends and his dogs in New Jersey, Palm Beach and Nantucket. He was never without a houseful of dogs and always supported local rescues both in Florida and New Jersey. His generosity had no bounds.

Frank's loyalty to his friends and family permeated all he did. Frank will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Dear Ed, Leah, Keith and Tammy,

Dad told me this tragic news and I have been thinking so much about Frank and all of you. I only met Frank a few times but I remember him so vividly for his warmth and sense of fun and will always appreciate his kindness to my father through the years.

I would have paid my respects in person if I could have been there, but I am sending you all positive energy from Dallas.

Sometimes it feels like life is, to a great extent, the aggregation of loss and contentment one´s ability to make adjustments we don´t want to make and accept the unacceptable. I hope the connection we feel in our shared humanity and common struggle to manage loss can provide a small measure of comfort.

This is my cousin Frank holding my son, Hector, who was a year old at the time. The last time I saw him a little over a month ago, I got to tell him that my wife and I were expecting our second child, and he absolutely lit up. He was truly the most unique and beautiful kind of person, filled with genuine warmth and passion. The world is a far poorer place without him, though he will never be far from my heart.

My deepest condolences to Mr. & Mrs. Frankel and Keith. Frank and I were good friends in junior and senior high school. I have such fond memories of the times we spent together. My mom, Dolly loved Frank too. He called her Granny just like her grandson did. Here is a picture of them in 1985, high school graduation day. We all had fun times. I wish I could have seen Frank one more time. Rest In Eternal Peace Frank, my friend.

"A Life Remembered"

Though I did not know him well,
I saw the love he left behind.
A life is measured not in years,
But in the hearts it´s intertwined.

May his memory be a blessing,
A steady light through grief and pain.
For love like his is never lost,
It always finds its way again.

Frankie was my cousin and friend. When we were little we always had so much fun and got into trouble with our shenanigans. I still think we did a good job with our homemade firepit in the backyard although the parents didn't think so. Later on we used to do girls trip to the Short Hills Mall with Debbie. We always had fun. You always cracked me up. Will miss you so much. Lori

Someone once shared this with me, and it brought me comfort. I hope it can do the same for you.

Still Here

Don´t cry for me, I´m not truly gone-
I´m the quiet light that greets the dawn.
The gentle breeze that brushes by,
The steady star that warms the sky.

I love you more than words can say;
That love lives on, it will not fade.
So hold me close within your heart,
I´m still with you-we´re not apart.
