I have only met Jane once on video call with Edna so I can't say I know her. However, I can say that I know the legacy of intellect, curiosity, exploration (especially traveling) very well through Edna and her family.
It is impressive to read about a life led like Jane's. It's equally impressive to see Edna follow in her footsteps (sometime subtly, sometimes rather surprising, i.e. getting a call from India to announce that Edna is working there now).
I don't think there are many people left like Jane and Edna who bounce around the world (in normal commercial jets and in economy; we have too many of the others) learning, teaching, soaking up adventures and sometimes just diving to let go. Bruce Chatwin would be proud and is now joined by Jane. I am sure they are having a wild laugh and sharing stories galore.
Here's to Jane and the wonderful legacy she left through her children and grandchild.

We are blessed to have had an opportunity to know Jane. A highly individualistic and an exemplary woman of great character. Rest in peace dear Jane and forever in our hearts.
