Jan was my best friend. I will miss our bi-weekly talks on the phone that sometimes lasted over 2 hours. We would talk about everything and anything. I will always cherish her friendship and support she gave me as we journeyed through life together from raising children to grandchildren. We lived a lot of life together here in Melbourne and had a lot of fun times shopping, attending women´s ministries and having lunch out weekly. When Jan moved to Jacksonville I was sad, but so happy she could be close to her son Matt and family. She adored her grandchildren and they were the light of her life. I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. I will miss you so dear friend.

I remember many shopping trips with my Mom and Jan. Nonny, as I called her when I was young, was such a special person not only to my Mom but our family. I didn´t know until just last week that my Mom and Jan became friends because she wanted to go with my Mom to my doctor appointment when I was a baby. I know she will be greatly missed, but I´m so glad to know she´s with Jesus and fully healed!

Jan has been one of my dearest friends for over 25 years. We laughed ALOT we cried occasionally but no matter what we were doing we were having fun. Simply and pure! Riding in the red mustang convertible with our hands in the air like teenagers. Then off to shopping- usually KOHLS and I am sure with our years of shopping we kept them in business for sure!! Then we were off to our favorite and extravagant lunch-McDonald´s. Jan had a quarter pounder with cheese but NO ONIONS fries and a Diet Coke. I did the same except with NO PICKLES. we sat and laughed till we cried! Sometimes for hours. About our children, grandchildren and just life! We adored them all!
This is a great scripture that explains our wonderful friendship. " I loved you so very much to not share only the gospel with but our very lives."
1 Thessalonians 2:8
Rest easy Jan- you were so loved by so many!!

My cousin Jan was one of the most courageous and deeply kind women I have ever known. I was blessed to share DNA with her. My dad and her mom were twins...Sonny and Sissy. She was my Barbie doll playmate as little girls. My family moved to Florida when she and I would have been about 10. I dearly wish we would have grown into adults living closer to each other. If you knew my cousin...you were blessed.

Chris and I are so sorry for your loss. We were so fond of Jan and have missed her since she left Melbourne. We attended church together at Suntree Methodist and always appreciated her friendship, her positive attitude and perseverance, her sharp mind, and her generous and sweet spirit.
Fondly,

I will miss Janet's sweet spirit! She was easy to get to know. Whenever I sat down and visited with her, I would forget that she couldn't see me. Although it was too little, I'm thankful that I was able to spend some time with her the past few years.

We "saw" alot of each other at Westminster Woods. She was always a bright spirit and lit up any room she entered. She will be missed here by residents, staff and her physician.
