Janet Louise Light Morris, age 88, of Garner, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, at the Hospice House of Johnston County. Born on December 25, 1936, in Danville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Bura and Almeada Light.
Janet was a loving mother to her four children, including Vicky Reaves, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Dupree and Linda Eggers, and her son, David Ware. Janet also cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Janet was known for her beautiful heart and soul, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. Her family will carry forward the many cherished memories they created together.
In this time of loss, Janet's family reflects on the love and joy she brought into their lives, and they will hold her memory close as they navigate the days ahead.
