Jeffery Hendricks Obituary

Jeffery Paul Hendricks (Jeffey, Jeff), 72, passed away peacefully June 2, 2025 at Elroy Health Services in Elroy Wisconsin.

He was born March 4, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI to parents Rose and Anthony Hendricks. He was a lifelong resident of Milwaukee.

He served on active duty in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was part of a Vietnam Combat deployment on the USS Ranger CVA 61. He also served on the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea. After leaving active duty, Jeff served in the Navy Reserve, and pursued a college degree, graduating from the University of Milwaukee in 1990. He retired from the Navy Reserve in 1994 and worked in the insurance industry afterwards.

As a youngster, Jeff enjoyed tagging along on adventures with brothers Tony and Jim, cousins Tim, Greg, Deano, Chris, Mike, and others, and his best friend Frank.

Of his many life events, Jeff considered his becoming a born again Christian and follower of Jesus Christ as the most important life event as it transformed his life to one of service to the Lord and to helping others. Jeff was a member of St John's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, a member of the Grief Share Committee and a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 416 in Greendale, Wisconsin.

Jeff is survived by his sisters Kathy and Sandra, and his beloved Sheltie dog, Daphnie. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Tony and James.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 12 noon at the St. John's Lutheran Church - 6802 W. Forest Home Avenue, Milwaukee, with Rev. Peter Walther officiating. Military Rites to follow. A time of visitation will be at the Church on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St John's Lutheran Church.

Jeff will be deeply missed by his many relatives and friends.
