To his family so sorry for your loss. Kent was a great guy. My wife and I met Kent at Clipper games. He started a tradition with my wife at every game letting her hug the game ball for good luck. And it worked during the regular season. Not so much during the playoffs. I just saw this post and I´m absolutely shocked at his passing. Rest in Peace my friend

Kent was so animated in life in all his communications. We will miss our Sunday conversations at church . He took time to tell his stories and could lure you in just sharing his life experiences. We love and miss him. So blessed to have known him.

Kent, so shocked on the news. Known Kent since I was 5. He was my next door neighbor as I grew up. Taught me golf, played baseball and we traveled together to Scotland on our missions. Gave him my first blessing in a Scottish hospital. He taught me so much as we competed in many sports. He was my idol. Best man at my wedding. I was even there when he first met Chris in a theater class at the UofU. I could write a book of memories. He was a brother to me and mentor. Love you Kent. See you later my friend.

For ten NBA seasons I sat to the right of Kent at the scoring table at Los Angeles Clippers games. Kent was the Official Scorer and I was the game announcer. Kent had to be spot on in scoring and that enabled me to be perfect as well. Next to Kent sat the timer, Kyle Lucas, and Tony Monton on the 24-second clock. Each of us relied upon each other no matter how stressed it was. Kent was also the lead to work with the NBA officials. Kent also was under the gun from the Clippers´ ownership and the press, but Kent handled it with his extensive knowledge, patience, and a professional demeanor. God bless Kent.

I had the pleasure of working with Kent for the last few years, and my family had worked with him for decades before then. He was always such a sweet, caring, funny guy. He made doing the mundane fun. I'm so grateful we got the time together that we did, and I'll cherish those memories. May he rest in peace.

Kent was such a ray of sunshine even when we knew he was in pain. We will miss his humor and his big personality. We were so lucky to see him often, especially these past several months.

Uncle Kent was always the center of the room and larger than life in this nephew´s eyes. Even still, he knew how to connect in the quiet moments and to everyone individually that was the most dear and sweet. Love you Kent
