Kevin Karpovich Obituary
August 9, 1973 - April 2, 2025
Kevin J. Karpovich passed away on April 2, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 51 years old.
Kevin was born on August 9, 1973, in Columbus, Ohio, to William J. Karpovich and Teresa L. Wright. He spent his early years in Columbus until the passing of his father in 1987. Following this loss, Kevin moved with his mother to Key West, Florida, where he attended Horace O'Bryant Middle School and Key West High School. Later he relocated to Hazel Park, Michigan, where Kevin graduated from Hazel Park High School.
He began his professional life as a mortgage broker, a career he pursued until 2008. Kevin then returned to Key West, where he worked in a variety of roles, including bar manager. In 2018, he moved to Altoona, Pennsylvania for new employment opportunities. Never one to stop growing, Kevin returned to school and proudly earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, all while working at The Home Depot.
Kevin was known for his perseverance, warm spirit, and the strength with which he approached life's challenges. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In honor of Kevin's memory, his mother kindly asks that donations be made to a cancer research foundation of your choice. You may also visit Legacy.com to share a message of remembrance or plant a tree in his name. A Memorial Service will be held on May 23, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 09:00 PM at Hopcroft Funeral Home 31145 John R Rd
