Louise Santiago Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 21, 2025.
Port Hueneme - It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Louise Santiago on May 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She joins her loving husband of 66 years, Joe Santiago, and parents, John and Carmen Velasco in heaven.

Louise retired after 30 years as a teacher's aide at Rose Avenue School. She was very active at Mary Star of The Sea where she taught catechism and was president of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Camping, playing gin rummy, doing puzzles with her family and traveling to their second home in Utah were among the things she loved to do.

Louise is survived by her 7 children: David, Linda (Manuel), Gloria (Jeff), Steven (Irma), Tim, Cynthia (Armando), and Kathy (Mario); 26 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A Street, Oxnard. Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29 at Mary Star of The Sea, 463 West Pleasant Valley Road, Oxnard.
