As many of you may know. I lost a dear friend 2 weeks ago. My friend Lyna Van Arsdel she and I got together every week for years on Saturdays. When she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 years ago, it was inoperable. They gave her 6 months. But Lyna defied them all! Towards the end she was getting weaker and I would say are you up to getting together and she was like, I look forward to our Saturday mornings. She adored her grandchildren too! Always picking them up something as we shopped and telling me stories of how much she was happy to spend alot of time with them. Her ex husband was also her best friend. Michael took her on many trips to show her places she had never been. I went garage saling with my daughter this past weekend and it was not the same. I miss you my friend. We made tenderloins last week in your honor. Took her back to childhood in Iowa where we both were from. Lyna is survived by her daughter Erica and her son Derek. They are having a memorial at sea with just her family. Lyna loved the water. I miss you so much my friend! My whole family loved you. May God comfort those you left behind. I will see you again my friend! Love and miss you!!

Lyna was my best friend and I loved her unconditionally. She will be missed deeply but now she has earned her wings and flying high in the heavens with her Phoenix and Tigger and my Chloe too. I have so many pictures of our adventures but these are just a couple of them. My prayers go out to her family and friends.

Lyna was always special to me. I will always cherish the memories I have of her and will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother and sis-in-law.
