Mark Springer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 15, 2025.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and faithful friend to many, passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones after a courageous struggle with pulmonary fibrosis and lymphoma.

Born to William (Bill) and Helen Springer, Mark grew up in the Lake Hills neighborhood of Bellevue, WA, along with his younger brother Scott. He often recalled an idyllic childhood of drive-in movies, backyard sleepovers and long summer days at Samena Club Pool where he became a proficient swimmer. Piloting the family boat on Puget Sound, water skiing, scuba diving, snow skiing, riding dirt bikes and hunting and camping in Washington and Oregon were among the many outdoor experiences he enjoyed growing up.

Mark was a 1973 graduate of Sammamish High School where he played trumpet in the band and enjoyed gymnastics. A short time after high school Mark, accompanied by a friend in a boat, swam the length of Lake Sammamish. His natural inclination for all things electrical and mechanical coupled with drawing ability led him to a career in drafting and electronic design. He attended programs at Renton Vo-Tech and Lake Washington Institute of Technology. He developed a high level of proficiency in circuit board design, first by hand and later with Computer Aided Design. He was the sole proprietor of his own company, Advanced Circuit Design, for many years and was part of a new company start-up, Monsoon Solutions, Inc.

In 1978 Mark married the love of his life, Sarah. They raised a son, Jason, and a daughter, Mary. His favorite times were spent with family camping around the Pacific Northwest and racing NASCAR's Street Stock division at Evergreen Speedway. Family life was everything to Mark and during the children's teen years their home was often filled with young people.

Mark was a steadfast member of AA for 30 years. He was passionate about helping people. All people, from all walks of life. Gregarious, smart and generous with his time and his love. He always had time for anyone who needed it.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Helen Springer, and is survived by Sarah, his loving wife of 46 years. His son, Jason Springer ( Sara Taylor) Sebastian and Nate, Madison, WI, and grandson Aiden Springer, Indialantic, FL.

His daughter, Mary Koch (Brian) grandsons Brody and Bayne, Lake Stevens, WA.

Brother Scott Springer (Theresa), Camas, WA. Niece, Emily Kolve and family, Tigard, OR. And his stepmother, Shirlee Springer, Bellevue, WA.

Mark spent countless hours sharing his love of family and spiritual growth with those that hurt the most. His helping heart and compassion is remembered by all who knew him. He truly loved everyone.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, August 16, 2025, 1:30pm at the

Our hearts go out to you Sarah, Jason, Mary and the extended Springer family. We love you and Mark so much. We have such fun memories of our times together, especially those made at "The Island" in the summer over the years which sealed our friendship forever. We are sad to say, "Goodbye for now" to Mark but happy to end it with "See you on the other side".
