Michael Harris Obituary
Although Dr. Harris received his PhD in Economics, to those of us who knew Michael well, we knew that he had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of many academic fields. His pursuits were many, and he excelled at everything that he pursued. There was no "challenge" for Dr. Harris that he would not conquer.
Michael had a sincere love of nature. And this was shown by his love of his many recreational activities including hiking, piloting his aircraft, surfing, and scuba diving.
Of those of us who knew the deepest part of Michael, we know that Michael had the undeniable nobility, strength, morality, and selflessness of character that so very few people posses.
Dr. Harris is survived by Tammy Briant and their daughter, Keeley Harris; and by his sisters Susan Harris, Vicki Beaman, and Sharon Harris.
A memorial service will be held at Rose Mortuary, 71555 Highway 111, in Rancho Mirage, California on June 7th at 2:00pm.

Mike was an exceptional colleague and a true mentor. He gave me my first big break as a testifying expert, and I'll always be grateful for that trust. It was an easy decision to join him, first at Econ One, and then again at the Harris Economics Group. Beyond his professional generosity, Mike was also a fierce advocate for his team, fighting hard for what we were owed when clients went silent, and steadfastly keeping us together through lean times. I'll forever cherish the unforgettable views we shared when he piloted us to and from a client meeting in Las Vegas - a testament to his adventurous spirit.
