Mosie Burks Obituary

During Covid almost daily we watched the MMC on YouTube. The choir along with Mother Mosie got us through that very difficult time. We will miss her and her beautiful spirit. Every time I hear I´m not tired yet I will think about her. I know she is with the Lord and deserves her rest.

Condolences to the family and my high school classmate Kenneth Horne. Mama Mosie is singing in heaven. "I´m not tired yet" and "When I rose this morning" was my grandmothers favorite songs. They were the last songs she heard while she transitioned to heaven. Mama Mosie will be missed by so many.

I remember years ago when I visited my Mother's Church, the Ushers had just let us in so we could be seated in the Sanctuary and the Choir was preparing to sing their first Inspirational Song for that morning and Lord and behold it was "I ain´t tired yet"! I got up out of my seat and felt something all over me! This was a time when I was looking for answers and felt tired but I kept telling myself that I couldn´t quit. This Song literally jump started and recharged my faith in Jesus Christ and I joined that Church and later was chosen to be a Deacon. Thank You Mama Mosie Burks and I know you´re resting in the bosom of Jesus.

God bless the family and keep them in this time of sorrow. I think of one of the choirs song. "When I rose this morning", Mother Mosie when she rose that morning absent from the body, but present with the Lord. Rest in peace, you fault a good battle, and finished the course. We all shall meet again at the meeting, Amen

Mama Rosie you were loved by those that knew you through your spiritual anointed voice. God never makes a mistake. He plucked his flower up and said Well Done thou Good and faithful servant you have Worked while it day. Now Come on Take Your Rest! I am very sad about her passing .I just found out about it. I was listening to her son about three weeks ago as I was doing some Bible study. The song when I rose this morning.It did something to me I felt the Holy Spirit when she was sing that song.

We've lost a great warrior and songstress, but God gained the return of one of his angels.

My condolences. For the last few years I had been listening to her voice when jogging and walking the trails when exercising. Her songs i could feel them down in my soul. I'm sure she will be sorely missed but heaven received another angel.
