Patsy Cranston Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 29, 2025.
Patsy Ann Cranston, age 76, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in Santa Clara, California, with her children by her side.

Born on August 10, 1948, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Patsy eventually moved to Santa Clara in 1960 where she proudly graduated from Wilcox High School in 1966. She later moved to Rocklin, California where she successfully worked as a retail associate for many years and was adored by many customers who eventually became very close lifelong friends.

Patsy was devoted to her family and treasured the relationships she nurtured over the years. She never missed a birthday or special occasion, always reaching out with thoughtful greetings that left lasting impressions. Her warmth and generosity were felt deeply by those fortunate enough to know her.

Her passions brought color and joy to her life-especially her love for collecting memorabilia related to "I Love Lucy. She also loved cats and compiled a large collection of cat memorabilia. These collections reflected her playful spirit and eye for detail. Patsy also took pride in maintaining an immaculate home and had a sharp interest in local news and weather. She often shared updates with loved ones as a way of staying connected and showing care.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Gino Gingerelli and his wife Shirley Gingerelli; daughter Dena Gingerelli and very special friends, Rob and Alonzo Nelson; grandchildren Anthony Gingerelli and Katelynn Gingerelli; brother Robert DiVirgilio and his wife Elizabeth DiVirgilio; nieces Tina Rabe and her husband Pat, Gina Robinson Tarigo, Lisa Poalillo Tarigo, Lana Tarigo; nephews John Tarigo, Forrest DiVirgilio, Mario Blandini DiVirgilio, along with many other loving great and great-great nieces and nephews who will continue to carry forward memories of her kindness.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Alfio and Mabel DiVirgilio; sisters Marlene Tarigo DiVirgilio, Karolynn Potter DiVirgilio, and Jeanie Marie DiVirgilio; niece Julianne DiVirgilio; nephew Larry Robinson; brother-in- laws Stephen Tarigo and Kenneth Potter.

Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Now she has been reunited with the rest of her heavenly family. May the kind thoughtfulness she shared so freely continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Aunt Patsy was the coolest! She had the greatest style and a heart of gold! She cared so much about her kitties and her entire family. When I was young, she babysat me a lot and I called her my P-Pumpkin. She had a really cool orange car. In recent years, my two daughters and I would go visit and they would love to play stickers and funny hats with their Great Aunt Patsy. We love you so much! You will be greatly missed.

Circa 1972-the 1st time I met cousin Patsy thereafter forming a close friendship between first cousins. I will miss our very long telephone conversations & all the things we laughed about, family get-togethers & hanging out at the SaddleRack back in the day with you & my other cousins. Wish I got to talk to you one more time-hard to believe you are gone!
