One year, Phyllis and The Girls drove in a couple of cars down to a lovely little Edenton North Carolina bed and breakfast during the town's Garden Week held every other year. Everyone got assigned a room in twos. Since there was no wedding booked during our visit, Phyllis and I asked for the bridal suite. We knew it would be large and lovely with plenty of amenities, nice air conditioning and a great view. We laughed and giggled and drank wine and told dumb stories all night long until we finally fell asleep. We never got the phone call that we expected asking us to quiet down. Two other friends shared an attic room with one bed that was an inferno. When they complained, someone in management sent up a little oscillating fan. One of them fell sound asleep. The other one didn't sleep a wink. The next morning, Phyllis and I felt bad for them. But we will always remember our outrageously fun night in a BnB honeymoon suite in Edenton NC.

Phyllis was full of fun. I enjoyed many a luncheon with her and the " Bon Aire Girls. To ride with her driving was like being a passenger in Jehu´s chariot. Intelligent, spiritual, and ready for adventure, she was a delight to be with. She was faithful to her God and her husband.

My sincere condolences to you dear ones. I cannot think of Phyllis without feeling loved and hearing her laugh. She had a gift for making one see the good in life and to be happy. Phyllis was my 7th grade science teacher and we became good friends. We enjoyed talking about tiny atoms, the enormous universe, creation and the Creator. Her passion for life and learning was, and still is, inspiring. We pray that the peace of God gives you comfort and your hope is an anchor.

I used to hang out with Curt and Kip when I was very young. I remember Curt and Kip marched in line for a mandatory spanking, and I got in the line too assuming I was deserving as well. She let me escape. Curt and Kip may have to explain the rest.
