In Loving Memory of Rod
I am not writing to mourn a loss, but to celebrate a life-one that was vibrant, wise, and beautifully lived. Rod was so much more than a name to those who knew him. He was a constant presence, a guiding light, and a source of unwavering enthusiasm for the world around him.
Rod approached every endeavor-no matter how large or seemingly insignificant-with a spark of genuine excitement. Whether it was helping a grandchild sneak a candy before dinner, offering advice on a household fix, or a glass of gin & tonic complete with a good story, Rod gave every moment his full attention and joy. He understood that the beauty of life is found in the details, in the shared smiles, and in the effort we give to one another.
He was a father, grandfather and a great grandfather-three titles he wore with deep pride and boundless love. To his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, he passed down more than just traditions. He passed down a legacy of kindness, patience, and a curiosity about the world that never faded. His stories, layered with wisdom and humor, were often the highlight of family gatherings, and his quiet strength served as a compass through life´s uncertainties.
Rod carried with him a wealth of life experience and knowledge-hard-earned and generously shared. He had lived through seasons of change, of growth, of challenge, and of triumph. And through it all, he remained a teacher in the truest sense, never lecturing, only offering-through example and gentle words-the lessons he´d gathered along the way.
We often say time is fleeting, and with Rod, that feels especially true. There would never have been enough time in this realm to absorb all that he was, all that he had to give. His presence was vast, and his absence will be felt just as deeply.
But today, and every day after, I celebrate that my family had the gift of Rod in our lives. His legacy lives on in the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the stories we´ll tell for generations to come.
Thank you, Rod, for everything. You will always be remembered, always be loved, and always be missed.

We love you so much, Grandpa.
There are no words big enough to hold the space you filled in our lives. You were the foundation - strong, wise, and fiercely loving in your own way. We will forever cherish the moments we had with you, the stories, the quiet strength, and the pride you carried in all of us.
Your presence will always be felt - in our memories, in the lessons you taught us, and in the hearts of your great-grandsons, Jason and Cole. They may be small now, but we´ll make sure they always know who you were - not just as our grandfather, but as a man who stood tall, loved deeply, and left a legacy we´re proud to carry forward.
Thank you for being our constant, our protector, and our example.
We miss you already.
We love you always.
With all our hearts,
Katie, Jesse, Jason, and Cole
