Ron was a great guy, and I recall fondly the many times that we shared in the Boy Scouts with our sons. He was a dedicated scoutmaster, a gentle giant, at a lot of fun to be with... I look forward to wearing my Hawaiian shirt on Sunday, in his honor.

"Mr. Verrico" was a mainstay of my teenage years. He was a great scoutmaster that could be both jolly and firm when needed and never patronizing.

He was also a kind man who welcomed me into his home each morning as a family member, chatting with him and Mrs. Verrico in their kitchen before continuing on my way to school with his oldest son, Patrick.

I am swarmed with many great scouting memories under his leadership in learning of his passing. I am blessed to have known him and the entire Verrico family. Love and prayers to Brenda, Patrick, Matthew and Lauren.

So sorry to hear of Ron´s passing. He was Scoutmaster of Troop 615 when my son joined and I asked Ron "Need any help?" He brought me in as an Assistant Scoutmaster and taught me how the program worked to build leadership in the boys. He was my idea of a perfect Scoutmaster and the whole Troop was better because of his time there. RIP, Ron.

Ron always made us laugh. He had such a great dry, yet playful sense of humor that made him a wonderful companion. We had so many great times together: cruising, at Disney events, Solivita events, and enjoying his (and Brenda's) hospitality at their home so many times. His memory shall be a blessing to all that were lucky enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear Ron.
