Salvatore Alfarone Obituary

Salvatore Alfarone, 64, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 28, 1961, in Gerace, Italy. Sam was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched many lives.

A graduate of Putnam Vocational and Technical High School in Springfield, MA, Salvatore went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. His strong work ethic and loyalty were evident throughout his sales career at Higgins Corporation, where he built lasting friendships and was proud to be part of a close-knit team for over thirty years.

Salvatore is survived by his beloved daughters, Chiara and Dina, who were the greatest joys of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Domenico and Maria Alfarone; his brother-in-law, Charles Weidig; and his brother-in-law, Antonio Facente. He leaves behind his loving siblings: Marisa Recchia, Franca Weidig, Lina Trimboli and her husband Rodolfo, Tony Alfarone and his wife Maria, and Robert Alfarone and his wife Robynlynn. He is also mourned by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

An avid golfer, "Sam" enjoyed spending time on the course with his cousins and was a passionate supporter of the New England Patriots. He embraced life fully, fought bravely when afflicted, and left on his own terms, surrounded by those who loved him. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Springfield, Massachusetts.
